Occasionally, I need to vent about the frustration and sometimes, pain of being an activist. This is one of those occasions... The frustration and pain have got worse over the years. They've got worse to the point where there have been times when I've seriously thought about jacking it in and quietly living out the few decades of my life indulging in my passions of walking in the countryside and photography. The problem is that the world has become such a dysfunctional shitshow, jacking it in isn't an option my conscience will let me live with. So here I am, ploughing on through the shite as best I can.

an interesting read. I want to read the articles with your analysis but get a 'this domain is parked' message. I can't see what the issue with '15 minute cities' is on it's own, but the creeping weaponisation/control-freakery of various forms of seemingly harmless technology alongside the basic concept does concern me a lot.
But a lot of the concern I have has a flipside, that being for the most part a lot of the most scary weaponised uses of technology are niche cases.
That said when I see what's being done to Gaza, there seems to be no limit on what cruelty would get commited by any side that can claim the appropriate victimhood to retaliate with excessive force ( and add collective punishment )
One side views a 6 drawn on the ground, another group sees it as a 9
"At the end of my life, I want to look back and think that as far as was possible, I did the right thing, regardless of the cost."
I aspire to that too - and I admire and respect you for it.
Solidarity.
