A few days ago, I put up this post on the Notes section of Substack which has generated something of a reaction:
People who three to four years ago were pushing for harsher lockdowns, compulsory masking and insisting that people get jabbed with questionable ‘vaccines’ now want me to stand alongside them in support of their causes. It's like a collective amnesia has descended upon them and that all the shite they were pushing upon us in 2020 and 2021 should just be swept under the carpet. These f**kers were actively complicit in pushing the great reset agenda. In some ways, they're still pushing that agenda because they can't join the dots and see the bigger picture. Why on earth should I even contemplate standing in solidarity with people who would happily twist the knife into my back should another 2020 situation arise?
In part, it was referring to an ongoing dispute between the satirist C J Hopkins on the one hand, and on the other, Paul Cudenec of Winter Oak. The dispute is about a number of protesters on Palestinian solidarity protests wearing Covid 'protection' masks and what political signals this is sending out. It should be noted at this point that while I don't agree with absolutely everything they write or say, I currently still have a lot of respect for both Paul Cudenec and CJ Hopkins. Paul Cudenec's contribution to the dispute is on X (formerly known as Twitter) and with a fair bit of scrolling, can be picked up from various posts on the Winter Oak account on that platform. This is the response to Paul Cudenec from C J Hopkins: The Anti-Zionist Inquisition - C J Hopkins | Consent Factory Inc. | 9.5.24.
When I published the above post on Notes, it wasn't specifically referring to the protests against the Zionist land grab and slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza, ostensibly in response to the incursion of Hamas into Israel on October 7th. It was intended to refer to a broader range of actions across the anarchist movement, the environment movement and the Left. However, given the passions that are being aroused by what Israel is doing in Gaza (and also the West Bank), my post was taken as implicitly referring to the Palestinian solidarity protests that are taking place across the globe. Because of that, I wrote this response to some of the replies to my original post:
I've absolutely no problem with people opposing what Israel is doing to the Palestinians. I’ve been on Palestinian solidarity marches in the past in London. What I do have a problem with is certain elements of that opposition who were calling for us to be locked down, masked, jabbed against our will now wanting our solidarity. Should another Covid type ‘crisis’ be sprung upon us, these elements would have no hesitation in turning against anyone resisting another wave of lockdowns, demands to mask up and being pressurised into taking yet another experimental concoction with the risk of adverse and possibly fatal consequences.
To put things into some kind of perspective, this is a supporter of the Palestinian cause cheering on the Humanity Stands Together' protest against lockdowns and vaccine mandates that took place at the end of 2021. Many of the protesters cheered her back:)
From what was a comment by C J Hopkins about the number of Palestinian solidarity protesters he's seen where he resides in Germany who were wearing the Covid 'protection' masks and how these were a political symbol of compliance to the new normal we're being subjected to, a row has developed about the rightness or not of the protests in and of themselves. The points about Covid 'protection' masks being a symbol of political subservience somehow seem to have been pushed to the sidelines. Which for those pushing the great reset upon us is perfect, because what's left of the opposition to what was done to us in 2020 and 2021, and how that was used to accelerate the great reset, is now fighting among itself. There's nothing like a bit of divide and rule is there? This splintering of the opposition to the lockdowns, the vaccine mandates and the broader agenda of the great reset started on October 7th when some of the opportunists hanging around the anti-lockdown and anti-vaccine mandate protests very publicly nailed their colours to the Zionist mast. This is something I wrote about in this post: It was never going to last so, we need to move on... 16.10.23.
It took just a few days for what some thought was a growing sense of unity between disparate currents of dissent against the Covid narrative and the great reset to completely shatter along the lines of whether people support Israel or Palestine. Given the tribal nature of the way sides are now being taken in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, that sense of unity is never, ever coming back.
I've got some bad news for those who have been berating me for my involvement in one of the many currents of opposition to the Covid narrative and the great reset - I'm not mourning the loss of what was nothing more than an illusory sense of unity. At some point, the shit had to be cleaned out of the stables - that has finally happened. I'll be honest and admit that it should have happened a lot sooner. Anyway, a massive shaking out has happened so, while I haven't found what could be termed a tribe, I have found a range of people thinking roughly along the same lines I can work with on fighting the great reset.
Right, let's get back to the Covid 'protection' masks a.k.a. face nappies and why they're a political symbol. The slavish adherence by a fair number of so called 'radicals' to wearing face nappies was just one component in a broader spectrum of behaviour that supported the lockdowns, practised (anti)social distancing and expended a lot of energy exhorting people to get jabbed. With more and more information about 'vaccine' injuries and deaths coming to light, I'm wondering when those of my former comrades pushing people to get jabbed will start to feel some sense of contrition.
Now we're back to what we're supposed to accept is a 'normality' that's like 2019 before all of this happened when it patently isn't, the question is this - why are a fair number of people on protests still wearing face nappies? They'll most likely answer that it's because 'they care' about the welfare of others. Back in 2020 and 2021, I saw little to no evidence from the mask wearers, lockdown lovers and jab pushers of caring about the adverse effects of the lockdowns on people's mental health and the expression of fears about the consequences of taking a rushed through, experimental mRNA jab. There's also their blind, unthinking worship of The Science(TM) as well. What I did see was a lot of virtue signalling, moral superiority and outright bullying from these so called comrades. The issues I had with my mental health during lockdown were dismissed outright by some of these people. Yet despite this, I've been told that I should move on from this. Well, about a year ago, I wrote a post about this: Moving on? 19.5.23.
There are a lot of people who bought into the narratives we were being fed about the lockdowns, the other restrictions, the social distancing and masking and last but by no means least, the mRNA jabs we were all being hectored to take. As various truths about what happened and continues to happen emerge, too many of them are in denial and instead, are doubling down on their beliefs.
The title of this piece is 'Moving on?' In an ideal world, I'd love to be able to move on from the last few years. The problem is, I've seen too many people suffer from what was done to them during that period. Then there's the personal impact that I experienced. Moving on is a tough call, particularly when under the surface, a lot has changed, mostly for the worst. I'll be honest and admit that I find it very hard to move on and am one of those who seek some kind of justice for what was done to us during the last few years.
A small reminder of the constant hectoring that was a feature of ‘new normal’ life in 2020 and 2021.
Nothing has changed in the year that has passed to make me change my mind about 'moving on' from what was done to us during the course of 2020 and 2021. So, as far as I'm concerned, anyone wearing a face nappy on a protest is sending out a clear signal that they bought into the narrative we were being fed at the time, supporting lockdowns, (anti)social distancing and the push to take an experimental mRNA jab, regardless of the risks involved. That for me, is a blatantly political statement.
To brings things to some kind of conclusion, I'm not writing this piece to tell people what protests they should and should not join based on the probable number of face nappy wearers there may be on them. That can be anything from a Palestinian solidarity protest through to one against local council cuts and austerity. As far as I'm concerned, people can take part in any protest they feel like.
All I'm saying is that anyone who was out on the streets standing against the lockdowns and the vaccine mandates who wants to join, for example, a Palestinian solidarity protest, needs to be aware that there will be some people on those protests who, if another Covid type 'crisis' emerged, would be only too happy to throw them to the wolves. If you think you can convince some of the face nappy wearers of the errors of their ways since 2020, please feel free to have a crack at doing so. I admire you for doing that because I'll freely admit that I would seriously struggle with talking to some of these people!
I hope that this post will play a small part into moving the discussion back to what kind of political signals wearing a face nappy on any protest in 2024 is sending out. Too much has been done to us since 2020 to allow this kind of virtual signalling to go unchallenged. Too much is at stake for us if it goes unchallenged and we find ourselves bounced into the next Covid type 'crisis'.
I'm less concerned about protestors wearing the medical masks because they fear they will infect others with something or be infected themselves (I can't change their beliefs) than I am about the normalisation amongst a group with certain political leanings of such "totalitarian facewear", as CJ calls it. I don't think these protestors are wearing them to avoid infection, but to remain anonymous, but for someone to be able to slap on one of these things today means that they don't have a problem with them per se, whereas I definitely do and would not be able to join such a protest. And CJ is right - they were introduced as a symbol of control, obedience, fear, moral superiority and following the herd. His point had nothing to do with being pro or contra Israel or Palestine - he was pointing out that the powers behind the masking nonsense are exactly the same ones who are behind the slaughter in Gaza. I'm really surprised Cudenec can't see this, or even thinks attacking CJ is going to be helpful in any way to anyone but these said powers. But there we are!
I had some interesting conversations with some other commentors on CJ's original post about what happened. I think what's going on is that we are all susceptible to falling for narratives which make us the Goodies and the others the Baddies. Paul is apparently no exception to this. Until we can step back and see these dynamics for what they are - divide and rule, as you say - we just going to go round in circles within the mad system.
On masks this was well worth the watch - Gary Sidley recently laying it all out: https://youtu.be/54FYrwbHz9s?si=KorLQbNM9igiXAY5
And something else that sprang to mind while reading your post was this - on a more esoteric note! This is what Gigi Young, a psychic, wrote on her YouTube Community page after 7th October last year:
"A New Polarization of the People
While there has been a significant awakening of the public through the last few years of Medical Tyranny, much of the 'alternative media' is still failing to recognize the deeper elements of current events.
This is because popular conservative commentators have enjoyed immense wealth and praise, not for their deep thoughts and analysis, but rather for their courage to assert common sense principals.
Common sense insights like: a man is a man and a woman is a woman, do not castrate children, and, that demographics play a role in the development of society, have driven the dialog of the political right. Ultimately, their courage to assert simple common sense has lead many to view these individuals as the protectors of liberty and meaning. And, perhaps in that era they were, however, times are changing. Fast.
A new polarization is now emerging, surface level thought, or the general preservation of the status quo, is no longer enough to solve the geo-political problems that now confront us. At this point, a deeper level of analysis and education on how the world actually works is needed.
The failure to directly confront the hidden forces behind the current uprisings in the Middle East is turning people who were once a helpful, progressive influence into regressive voices seemingly over night.
Through naivety, cowardice or corruption many of the people we have put our hope in are now failing us.
To lead and solve problems the knowledge of the spiritual forces and the hidden powers that pull the strings behind all governments is required. There will be no genuine advancement of our culture until that deeper level of analysis is taken on. Individuals who refuse to engage at that level will lose their influence and those who are capable will rise. Truth is life.
The real question now is: do we have to enter into WWIII to finally confront the banking cartel and psychotic individuals that run the world? Do we have to be pawns in the game of global domination and reduce millions of innocent people into abject poverty, and even death, just to realize that the corruption is centralized into the hands of a few? Or can we have the tact, selflessness and bravery to confront these realities now.
May the Spirit of Michael lead us all."
Even the good people who stood against the covid tyranny are not immune to a manipulation.
