But woe betide any of those evacuated Barton House residents to attempt to rat run to get to work, school, etc more quickly! They will be ruining BCC's net zero designs and planters should immediately be installed in all Bristol's residential streets to prevent such evil behaviour... (Crazed emoji)

I'm also really wondering how those who support the council's LN schemes aren't themselves wondering why the council is suddenly on their side? Aren't they the teeniest bit suspicious?

I'm also wondering why those residents advocating for LNs for their own reasons (a better lifestyle at someone else's expense) aren't wondering why the council is so supportive of their aspirations at this point in time... There's some heavy duty compartmentalisation going on where those residents can uncritically accept what Bristol City Council are doing when it suits what they want, while ignoring the rest of the shitty behaviour the council engages in. In other words, a total lack of joined up holistic thinking from people you would expect/hope to be capable of it...

I'm kinda getting used to a lack of that kind of thinking from such people, to be honest. I think it might have to do with being part of the class that benefits from capitalism without being the actual capitalists. The petty bourgeoisie.
