I share this story too. A lot of ‘dissident’ heroes I had fell like dominoes as they blindly supported the lockdown insanity. But I also feel exhilarated and liberated from leftist progressive dogma. I think better and expect little.

This could be my story too. After living in Oakland CA for 3 yrs and taking part in Occupy Oakland (the most radical experience of my life)....my partner and I were cut loose from our former comrades once the left EMBRACED their oppressors post March 2020. I was even cut from my all volunteer role with Prison Activist Resource Center- with a polite lie telling me the organization was disassembling so I wasn't needed - all because I dared share the alarm that things were upside down! Fuck 'em!

We (my life partner) found a crazy collective of people from all side..incl. gun-toting Bible thumpers. The thing we all refused to give in on is...FREEDOM IS EVERYTHING!

I love this part of your post..."Being able to think freely and to not have to self censor because of the fear of disagreement or giving ‘offence’ is actually very liberating! It’s also something that keeps me sharp and on my toes – that can only be a good thing. "
