Looking ahead to 2024
I recently put up this lengthy post trying to make some kind of sense out of what has happened this year: Looking back at 2023 4.12.23. In that post, I made a somewhat rash promise to write a piece that would try to anticipate what may transpire in 2024. I also stated that prediction is a mug's game. Well here I am, quite possibly a complete and utter mug, trying to work out just what the heck is going to happen in the coming year!
When it comes to predicting likely events with a rough stab at when they will occur, the honest answer anyone should give to that request is 'I haven't got a ****ing clue!' The best anyone can do is look at what will be trending in 2024 and work out how that may play out. When I say trending, I mean looking in some depth at social and political trends, paying particular attention to the tensions bubbling away underneath the surface. I'm not talking about the kind of vacuous trending celebrated by an increasingly dumbed down mainstream media!
This piece I published at the end of November is, in my humble opinion, a pretty good starting point for looking at what may happen in 2024: There's a certain brittleness in the air 30.11.23. It discusses the way situations are manipulated to create tensions in the community as part of the divide and rule strategy being implemented by those who presume to rule over us. Some of those tensions arise from the perception some people have that the level of immigration and the number of refugees coming into the UK is too high to be sustainable. Controversial yes, but if these fears and concerns are constantly derided and dismissed rather than honestly discussed, please don't be surprised when you get situations like this: What led to the Dublin riots and what does it mean for Ireland? - itvNEWS | 25.11.23.
The worrying part of this is that it's incredibly difficult to have an honest conversation about immigration levels and the way refugees are dumped, unsupported, in areas already dealing with more than their fair share of issues. As I've mentioned before, not only do the authorities not give a shit about the welfare of refugees, they also don't give a shit about the well being of the areas they're dumped in. The inevitable result is polarisation between those supporting the refugees and pissed off residents feeling they're being dumped on. A situation where people end up at each other's throats. A situation loved by the divide and rule merchants. A situation loved by our rulers who use these tensions as a justification for the imposition of ever more authoritarian surveillance and control measures. A situation where people on both sides of the divide are allowing themselves to get played.
I'm only too well aware that quite a few of my former comrades will not be happy with me for discussing these issues. I'm speaking as someone who has done a bit of refugee support work when I was living back in Thurrock and has seen the problems with poorly supported refugees being dumped in troubled communities at first hand. Some (but not all) of my former comrades are astute enough to recognise the problems for both refugees and residents of this dumping. That does offer a glimmer of hope that there can be a sensible conversation at some point. With the world facing the prospect of up to 2 million Palestinian refugees as Israel proceeds with what increasingly looks like a land grab in Gaza, that conversation can't happen soon enough.
What There's a certain brittleness in the air 30.11.23 also discussed was the impact of the Covid 'crisis' lockdowns on young people. There was a particular focus on disaffected youths who in normal circumstances, would have had their lives turned around by intensive, face to face interventions. Because of lockdowns and all the other restrictions, many of those interventions didn't take place. The result is that many of these disaffected youths have fallen through the safety net. They feel that society has abandoned them and that they owe society nothing back in return. We're already seeing the consequences of that in the estates and on the streets. The bad news is that it's going to get worse. Please don't say that you weren't warned about this...
While I think prediction of events is a mug's game, I'll stick my neck out and say that a general election in 2024 is pretty much on the cards. The Tory government are in disarray and have morphed into a circular firing squad. Keir Starmer, currently leader of the Labour opposition, is doing what he can, by any means necessary, to ensure his party gets into power after the election. Basically, he's the other cheek of the arse! Labour, Tory, same old story and all that.
What will be of interest will be the turnout as a growing number of people realise that the aforementioned parties are in effect, two cheeks of the same arse. It may be the case that many people will choose to not vote at all. It could be the case that the so called fringe parties such as Reform will start to gain momentum. Whatever happens at the election, after it there will be much pontificating from the commentators and quite possibly, much wailing and gnashing of teeth from certain quarters if Reform start to get a few seats in the House of Commons. Meanwhile, for us mere plebs, it will be the same old shite along with some freshly minted shite to come on top of it.
The Israeli assault on Gaza, supposedly in response to the Hamas incursion into Israel on October 7th, looks set to continue until 'the job is done'. The job in question being taking pretty much the whole of Gaza and expelling as many Palestinians as they can get away with. It's a very poorly disguised land grab. I'm pretty sure that plans are being drawn up for the 're-construction' of Gaza. That's re-construction for the benefit of Israelis. As I mentioned earlier, the world faces the prospect of having to deal with up to 2 million Palestinian refugees.
What impact this will have on the geo-politics of the Middle East is difficult to assess because that's not my area of expertise. As for the wider global geo-political situation, an increasingly tired West will find themselves slipping down the rankings while the BRICs nations rise. These are the nations that the bankers money will be flowing towards. It's the globalists re-arranging the furniture to ensure they profit from whatever arrangement emerges from the current situation. If anyone thinks that in contrast to the West, the BRICs represent a better future, may I suggest they give their head a bit of a wobble. Essentially, we're talking about two cheeks of the same globalist arse.
As for 'events', particularly those of a false flag, 'Let It Happen On Purpose' (LIHOP) or 'Make It Happen On Purpose' (MIHOP) nature, there's no way anyone can make an accurate prediction. Suffice to say that if a few of these haven't taken place by the end of 2024, I'll be very surprised. Anything that can consolidate the power the bastards at the top think they can wield over us is on the table. Given that they must be well aware a growing number of people are rumbling them, it may well be the case that they're getting a tad worried. On that basis, a false flag, a LIHOP or a MIHOP, along with the accompanying psyops, are all too likely to transpire.
My gut feeling is that a growing number of people are wising up to the fact that those who presume to rule over us do not have our best interests at heart. A number of them are educating themselves about the threat the globalists pose to our well being. Obviously, the level of awareness will range from having a vague sense of unease all the way through to realising that the bastards are intent on screwing us over. Rest assured, those who presume to rule over us are more than well aware of the rising tide of questioning of and resistance to their agenda. The indications are that they're getting nervous, possibly a bit scared even. That means they could be tempted into acting without fully thinking things through. Things could start to get very interesting indeed...
I hope 2024 is the year that a growing number of people silently withdraw their consent for the system to keep running. That means questioning the news agenda and refusing to go along with the scares and the psyops. It means resisting the increasing digitisation of our lives. It means using cash as much as possible. It means thinking about what you buy and wherever possible, buying from independent stores who source as locally as possible. It means, where possible, growing your own food. It means doing what you can to build community cohesion and solidarity and not letting the divide and rule merchants getting us at each other's throats. It means building parallel systems that will be the basis of a better world for all of us. 2024 could be the year that the tide starts to turn...
